FAQ
Everything you need to know about our cordless lamps – from technology to ordering to use in restaurants and hotels.
Three things: **Light quality** (CRI 93+ instead of 70–80 in cheap products), **durability** (modular design, every part replaceable, 5-year warranty) and **professional operation** (Charging Stations for 24–48 lamps simultaneously). NEOZ is a system, not a gadget.
Development, manufacturing and quality control take place in Sydney, Australia. NEOZ is certified Australian Made. MOONICH is the exclusive importer for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries.
Yes — the Nimbus is available in polished gold chrome and silver chrome plated onto steel. The reflective surface absorbs its surroundings and shifts with the evening light rather than showing a fixed colour. Rated IP64, it also suits covered outdoor areas.
NEOZ lamps are built for daily commercial service: smooth, wipeable surfaces without decorative detailing, 14+ hours of runtime per charge and fully replaceable parts (battery, light source, diffuser). Models like the Nimbus are designed specifically for nightly service in restaurants and hotels.
Well-designed table lamps keep sightlines between guests clear. The Nimbus was designed for exactly this: a slim stem minimises the visual barrier, while the domed shade directs glare-free light down onto the table surface — the conversation stays in focus, not the lamp.
Yes, all NEOZ lamps are continuously dimmable via touch. Dimming is controlled by a capacitive touch area on the lamp head — simply touch and hold.
CRI (Color Rendering Index) describes how natural colours appear under a light source. CRI 93+ means: colours are shown almost as they would be in daylight. Cheap LED lamps often have CRI 70–80 and visibly distort colours — a steak looks grey instead of red, salad dull instead of fresh.
Depending on the model and dimming level, between 17 and 66+ hours. The N1 PRO battery delivers up to 66 hours on a full charge. More than sufficient for daily restaurant use — charge in the morning, light in the evening.
Replace it. The battery is a standalone component that you can reorder individually. Same for the LED module, lamp head or charging contacts. Nothing has to be thrown away. That is the core of the NEOZ system.
Yes. NEOZ lamps are IP64-certified — that means protection against splashing water from all directions. Perfect for the terrace, even in rain. The charging contacts are corrosion-resistant.
With the N1 Charging Base for individual lamps, the N1 Charging Tray for 4 lamps, or an N1 Charging Station for 24, 36 or 48 lamps simultaneously.
One lamp per table is the standard. For 30 tables, we recommend 30–36 lamps plus spare batteries for continuous operation. Request a consultation →
It depends on your concept. For fine dining, we recommend our glass lamps like Egg or Margarita. For robust outdoor use, the metal lamps like Owl or Apex. Request a consultation →
Yes, on two levels. Mechanically: the Cordless Lamp Lock locks the lamp to the table — it can only be released with the dedicated key. Systemically: NEOZ lamps charge exclusively on official NEOZ charging systems, and chargers are only sold against a valid, registered serial number. A stolen lamp is effectively worthless once the battery runs out.
No. NEOZ lamps charge exclusively on official NEOZ charging systems (Charging Base, Tray or Station). We only sell chargers and replacement charging systems to customers with a valid, registered serial number. This protects your investment: to anyone else, a stolen lamp without its charging system is unusable.
The Cordless Lamp Lock works with any NEOZ cordless lamp fitted with a Lock-Compatible N1 Light Engine — that covers almost the entire range. The exceptions are Apex, Elizabeth and Medusa, which use a different light engine system. Older lamps can be upgraded: the N1 Light Engine inside the lamp body can be swapped for a Lock-Compatible version — get in touch.
Every N1 Light Engine has a serial number printed on its underside. If it starts with the letter 'L', the engine is Lock-Compatible and works with the Cordless Lamp Lock. If you're unsure, send us a photo of the serial number and we'll confirm compatibility for you.
The included 3M VHB tape is an industrial adhesive for smooth, sealed surfaces and can be removed with care if the table is later refurbished; any residue comes off with standard adhesive cleaner. Alternatively, the plate can be fixed with the supplied screws — recommended for outdoor terraces and permanent installations (rated IP46).
Yes. NEOZ lamps are modular by design: the N1 Light Engine inside can be replaced with a Lock-Compatible version without replacing the lamp body itself. It's a cost-effective way to bring existing lamps into secured service. Contact us for upgrade options and pricing.

Yes. From 10 lamps onwards we create individual quotes with project conditions. For larger projects (50+ lamps) we also advise on charging infrastructure and financing. Request a quote →
5 years on all NEOZ lamps. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. Wear parts such as batteries can be reordered as spare parts at any time.
Simply wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Glass lamps can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner. Occasionally clean the charging contacts with a dry cloth.
